Dan specializes in trust and probate litigation. Dan’s practice includes counseling trustees, administering trusts, and resolving disputes among beneficiaries and fiduciaries. Dan regularly appears in Bay Area probate courts and handles matters through trial. Dan serves as court-appointed Personal Representative, Guardian Ad Litem and Special Master in probate and conservatorship cases.
Dan’s past experience includes representing trustees in trust contests and claims of forgery, resolving disputes between siblings regarding their parents’ assets, and obtaining a bench verdict against a trustee for failing to follow the terms of a trust.
Dan is a Bay Area native and UC-Berkeley School of Law graduate where he was a member of the Law Review. Prior to forming his own firm, he worked at a large international firm where he represented financial institutions in business litigation and securities regulation
Dan is a member of the California Bar Trusts & Estates section, East Bay Trusts and Estates Lawyers, and several local Bar Associations. Certified by the California State Bar as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, Dan also assisted in the publication of Sunrise, Sunset: What to Do About a Trustee with Diminishing Capacity which appeared in the California Trusts and Estates Quarterly.
