For more than 17 years, Bruno has been practicing in the areas of intellectual property (“IP”) and technology law in Silicon Valley. He began his legal career at Pennie & Edmonds, LLP, a leading intellectual property firm, before later joining the IP practice group at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a global law firm that represents 75% of Fortune 100 companies.

As an experienced IP litigator, Bruno has successfully litigated a wide-variety of cases in both federal and state courts, including patent, copyright, trademark, cybersquatting, trade secret, unfair competition, contract, and business tort cases. In addition to his experience at the trial court level, he recently argued and prevailed in two federal appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His litigation experience also extends to litigating trademark oppositions, cancellations, and appeals before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

As an experienced IP counselor and transactional attorney, Bruno also has extensive experience advising startups, emerging-growth companies, and Fortune 500 companies in connection with IP protection and strategy. Such counseling includes, among other things, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of IP-related agreements, providing opinions of counsel, conducting due diligence for a corporate transaction, and advising clients as to developing, using, and acquiring IP.
